Parallel Missions

Physics and astronomy researcher Chris Fowler is launching into the unknown on 2 trajectories.

He’s part of the NASA ESCAPADE mission, which has sent satellites to Mars to study space weather and the Martian atmosphere. Closer to home, he’s a driving force behind a NASA-funded education program that brings real spacecraft data into high school classrooms in rural West Virginia.

Deeply Curious

Zack Taylor

Computer and Electrical Engineering student from Spencer, WV

Pursuing a dual major in Computer and Electrical Engineering was a risky choice for Zack Taylor. Not only because he had little experience in coding or circuitry. He is also colorblind.

In most fields, that might be an inconvenience. In electrical engineering, it can be critical. But he found that you don’t have to figure everything out alone. Not at WVU.
