Before WVU can issue the document necessary to apply for a student visa (Form I-20 or Form DS-2019), you must provide proof of having adequate financial resources for the expenses incurred while studying at WVU. Admitted students that have paid the academic deposit are invited to file the housing application and housing deposit. Once your application is processed, you will have access to the housing self-selection portal to choose your room and roommate. The housing self-selection portal opens in early December and closes at the end of February. Starting in March, housing assigns manually.

RecreationOur on-campus gym for intercollegiate sporting events is the WVU Coliseum. In addition to that, we offer gyms for recreation at the Student Recreation Center and gyms for teaching and learning in the Health and Education Building, which houses our College of Applied Human Sciences.

My account says that I have a hold. How do I get this lifted?

The NSO hold is lifted within three days of completing the NSO modules and will be replaced with an advising hold. You will work with your adviser on any schedule changes. If you have other holds on your account (parking, transportation, student conduct or student accounts), you will need to work directly with the department placing the hold.

All transfer students have an advising hold on their account. Your academic adviser will assist you in scheduling courses and getting this hold lifted.
