Can parents participate in NSO?

Yes and we encourage it! Our NSO modules will allow parents/guests to access the platform so that they can learn more about their student’s enrollment at WVU. Guests should use guest login option to access the site.

For advising appointments, we want students to play an active role in planning their first academic semester and create a professional relationship with their academic adviser. Parents may attend the advising appointments with their students, but are encouraged to allow their students to play the active role.

In addition, programming for parents is included at our in-person program. Students may bring up to 2 guests to the in-person program.

Our Mountaineer Parents Club also plays a large role in our orientation experience for families.
