How do I access my email?

WVU Student Email

When you are admitted to WVU, you will receive a letter with instructions for accessing your MIX Gmail email account.

  1. Claim your Login at login.wvu.edu.
  2. Enter your name, date of birth and the WVU ID provided on your acceptance letter.
  3. You will then receive information needed to access your account at portal.wvu.edu. 

If you have problems claiming your Login or accessing your account, please call the IT Service Desk at 304-293-4444 or 877-327-9260.

The WVU student email system is integrated with Google Mail (Gmail). All MIX email addresses end in @mix.wvu.edu.
