Final exams

Exam schedules are posted at registrar.wvu.edu/current_students/finals, along with related information about finals. Unless students are otherwise notified, exams are given in the regularly scheduled classroom.

Last Week of Classes (or "Dead Week")

As outlined in the Faculty Handbook, practical laboratory tests, make-up examinations and regularly scheduled short quizzes are the only tests permitted for day classes during the week of classes preceding final examination week. Instructors are allowed to submit a petition to the chair of their department or division requesting a test to be given during the week before finals. If approved, the examination must be indicated in the syllabus.
